Ampere Electric Scooter: Don't Buy
I took a test drive of an Ampere electric scooter, and I wouldn’t buy it. I’d buy an Ather if nothing else — it’s a million times better than this:
- The motor vibrates, as if it’s unbalanced.
- Accelerates slowly even in Sport
- Poor fit and finish; the mode indicator is misaligned with its labels
- There’s no digital instrument cluster; it’s a dumb scooter, without the smarts of an Ather.
- The Instrument panel was disconnected
- The rear view mirror was cracked in the test drive scooter. If it’s so bad before I buy it, I wonder how much worse it will be after.
