In the last few years, digital signatures for contracts and the like have become an option in India. Unfortunately, the system is broken. It would be excellent for the 90s, but we’re in the 2020s. To begin with, you need a physical USB token to sign anything. But what if you’re out and it’s not with you when you need to sign something? You won’t be able to. This is worse than a physical signature, where you can grab a pen and sign anything anywhere.
