Dream exploration: supersaturated colors
This dream occurred when I was studying in Intermediate, when I was living with my mom and grandma. In the dream, the 3 of us were traveling in an auto, when our auto suddenly stopped. I got out and found that all traffic on the road had come to a standstill. When I looked up at the sky, I saw a rainbow with more saturated colors than I ever saw in my life. Rather than the typical rainbow which is faded, the green was very green, the red was the reddest I ever saw, and so on.
The dream ended, but it was such an intense, fresh experience. When I woke up, I was filled with wonder about the universe: could I someday see these colors, or will they forever be outside the bounds of human experience? Do the colors we see in nature cover the full range of our perception or only part? Could we go to a lab with special lights that emit frequencies not found in nature, snd so experience colors we never have? Or, if the eye is the bottleneck, could we one day inject an electrical signal directly into the optic nerve to let us see novel colors? Some animals can see colors outside the range of human vision, including infrared, ultraviolet and polarised light. Could we some day transplant their eye into a human head, letting us see those colors?
What other wonders does the universe hold for us, which we can currently access only in the dreamworld?
