The iPhone 15 has a better mic than the 11 Pro
Here’s a test recording on the iPhone 11 Pro:
And here’s one on the 15:
Both were held a few inches away from my mouth.
Notice how the iPhone 15’s audio sounds more natural — it has fewer artifacts, and you can hear minor nuances in my voice better. The iPhone 15 sounds like hearing my voice in person, while the iPhone 11 Pro sounds like a low-quality recording.
In fact, you don’t even need to buy a dedicated microphone to record a podcast1.
