Dream exploration: a Dark Kiger
I’m considering whether to buy a car, and the #1 car on my shortlist is the Renault Kiger. It has a lot going for it: The seating position is comfortable. There’s enough legroom in the driver, and front passenger, and rear seats for my 5'11" frame. I could stretch my legs comfortably, and the my knees don’t touch the steering wheel, as they do in many cars. It has a pleasant CVT, which accelerates smoothly even if you give it a lot of acceleration. It absorbs bumps at moderate speed. It’s only 4 meters long, so it’s easy to park. The inner rear view mirror has a high magnification, so I can see better than in other cars. It has climate control and a cooled glove box. The rear seat has AC vents, a 12V socket to charge my phone, and speakers.
There’s no better car for me for its on-road price of 15 lakh rupees1.
I then came across this review:
The video soon veered into negative territory, so I stopped since I didn’t agree with the criticisms and didn’t want to be talked out of buying this car.
That night, I dreamt that I was in the Kiger, in the driver’s seat. Then my viewing angle changed to one where my eyes are at the seat level:
In real life, it wouldn’t be possible for my eyes to be at the seat level when I’m occupying the driver’s seat, but it happened in the dream.
Then, the left part of the car became dark:
The left windows became dark, and the left half of the windshield, as if the left half of the car were parked in darkness and the right half in daylight. This isn’t possible in real life, because the daylight from the right will brighten the left, but it was possible in the dream.
Maybe the darkness was a representation of the above reviewer’s criticisms of the car. It became half dark as he criticised it.

Other than the Nissan Magnite, which is basically the same car, just rebranded. The 15 lakh is the on-road price in Bangalore for the top variant of the Kiger.
